The Graduate Electrical Engineer will serve as a designer on construction documents for electrical systems in a variety of markets including multifamily, commercial, high-rise, hospitality, EV Fleet and more. The Graduate Electrical Engineer reports to the electrical team leader.

Responsibilities
  • Work with a team of engineers and designers to work from architectural plans and base files to assist in the production of quality engineering construction documents in Revit
  • Under limited supervision of Engineers and Project Engineers, design electrical systems including equipment sizing, energy lighting calculations and circuit diagrams for a variety of project types including high-rise, multifamily, commercial and technology
  • Perform calculations such as electrical load analysis, lighting energy use, voltage drop, fault analysis, etc.
  • Provide reviews of submittals and preliminary reviews of requests for information
  • Independently conduct preliminary site investigations and construction progress site visits
  • Maintain working relationships with manufacturers and technical representatives for electrical equipment in support of equipment specifications and design support
  • Participate in internal production meetings with Engineers and Project Managers as well as external design meetings with clients or city officials as necessary
  • Participate in development of automation and visualization strategies
  • Inform Project Engineers, Team Leaders, and Project Managers of progress on assigned projects
  • Attend industry events and become involved in the community, creating relationships and content

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) license obtained within first year in role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the field of new building mechanical engineering construction
  • Experience in Revit
  • Prior experience or knowledge of coding and/or machine learning technologies
