Job Summary:
SkillStorm is a company focused on building technology talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies. They are seeking an Entry Level Software Developer to participate in a 12-week paid training program, followed by deployment to an enterprise or government client.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Build and enhance applications using the languages, frameworks, and tools your client runs
โ€ข Write clean, efficient, well-structured code to professional standards
โ€ข Diagnose and fix defects; provide technical support and resolution
โ€ข Participate in code reviews โ€” give and receive constructive feedback
โ€ข Translate business requirements into technical specifications with stakeholders
โ€ข Support testing and deployment to production; maintain technical documentation
โ€ข Keep current with industry tools and techniques through ongoing training
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข A bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar)
โ€ข At least one year of W2 experience in a technical role
โ€ข Equivalent technical experience we'll review with you individually
โ€ข A working understanding of programming fundamentals โ€” data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and software development in an object-oriented language such as Java or C#
โ€ข Solid problem-solving and logical reasoning
โ€ข Clear written and verbal communication with teammates and stakeholders
โ€ข Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
โ€ข Open to relocation for client placement
