Overview & Position Summary
This position supports financial planning and analysis activities by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and monitoring business performance. This role works under moderate supervision to support forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting with moderate impact on team results. It partners with finance and operational teams to provide accurate, timely financial insights that support decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Previous residential homebuilding, land development, or real estate industry experience required
  • Prepare financial analyses, models, and reports to support planning and performance management
  • Analyze actual results versus forecasts and budgets to identify variances and trends
  • Support forecasting and scenario analysis by compiling and validating financial data
  • Investigate financial discrepancies and variances through analysis and collaboration with internal partners
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation to support controls and audit readiness
  • Communicate financial results, assumptions, and insights to internal stakeholders
  • Assist with preparation of presentations and materials for leadership review
  • Support improvements to financial analysis tools, processes, and reporting
  • Provide guidance or assistance to entry-level staff or support employees as appropriate

Education & Experience
Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant financial analysis, finance, or accounting experience, or equivalent (e.g., 6–8 years)
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
  • Experience supporting financial analysis, forecasting, or reporting processes 
  • Ability to provide informal guidance or assistance to others within a team environment

Preferred:

  • Additional experience in financial planning and analysis or corporate finance environments
  • Knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis
  • Experience using ERP systems, financial reporting platforms, and advanced spreadsheet tools

Working Conditions
