Job description

CB2 relies on the Finance team to be true business partners. In this role, you will be instrumental in maximizing company sales growth and profitability by managing financial forecasts, annual budgeting, variance analysis and special projects. We will look to you to provide an independent, objective assessment of company operations and financial performance.



  • This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Chicago, IL offices with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.


  • This role is an Individual Contributor position



A day in the life as a Financial Analyst, CB2...

  • Prepare the monthly P&L forecast, annual budget, and three-year plan for CB2 Retail, Digital, and B2B across various lines of business.


  • Own the end-to-end tracking, forecasting, and reporting of overhead expenses, identifying spending trends and presenting cost-optimization opportunities to leadership.


  • Build and maintain dynamic driver-based financial models, translating complex data into actionable scenario plans.


  • Design, implement, and manage financial and operational KPI dashboards and performance scorecards to track overall business health.


  • Partner with the Marketing, Planning, and Merch teams to perform analysis on investments, and collaborations.


  • Monitor ongoing financial and operational metrics against our strategic roadmap, ensuring the team is making measurable progress toward long-term goals.



What you’ll bring to the table...

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present financials and financial analysis to financial and non-financial associates.


  • Experience designing, and implementing driver based financial models using a variety of operational levers.


  • Strong ability to organize and analyze large datasets using advanced Excel formulas (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIFS) and PivotTables; Experience using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred.


  • Ability to pull and analyze data from expense systems (like SAP Concur or similar tools) to track corporate spend and manage budgets.
