The EADS Group in Johnstown, PA is seeking a full-time Entry-Level Engineering Technician - with an emphasis on Survey field work to join our multi-disciplined engineering firm! This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working outdoors, learning technical skills and supporting civil engineering and survey projects.

YOUR NEW ROLE AS OUR Engineering Technician - Survey
In this full-time entry-level Survey Engineering Technician role, you will
  • Assist with field surveys, construction stakeout, inspections, and data collection.
  • Use survey instruments and related tools to gather accurate field information.
  • Support municipal, utility and site survey projects.
  • Assist engineering staff with project documents, reports, and technical data as needed.

A qualified candidate will have strong math skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work comfortably outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. This role also requires the physical ability to stand, walk, and perform moderate lifting during field assignments, along with a willingness to learn and work closely with engineering and survey teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary trade or technical school training; relevant experience may be considered.
  • Previous survey, construction stakeout, or field inspection experience.
  • Experience with survey instruments, as-built surveys, or utility stake out surveys
  • Familiarity with engineering or survey software.
