Bearpath Golf and Country Club is currently seeking a passionate food-centered culinarian for the position of cook to join our successful culinary team. This is a working position that reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager and the Banquet Chef.

As a Banquet Cook at Bearpath Golf & Country Club, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the standards of our upscale establishment, ensuring that every dish is both visually appealing and delicious.

As a Cook at Bearpath Golf & Country Club, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the standards of our upscale establishment, ensuring that every dish is both visually appealing and delicious. You will collaborate closely with the kitchen team to develop seasonal menus and special offerings, while also adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. This position requires creativity and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for maintaining the presentation and flavor profiles of all dishes served. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance the overall dining experience and reputation of Bearpath Golf & Country Club.

Key Responsibilities

  • High-volume food production: Prepare dishes according to banquet event orders (BEOs) and standardized recipes, from batch prep to plating. 
  • Kitchen setup & maintenance: Organize and equip banquet stations, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper storage and sanitation. 
  • Menu execution: Master assigned menu items, including proteins, vegetables, sauces, and desserts, and maintain knowledge of all ingredients and equipment. 
  • Food safety & compliance: Adhere to HACCP, ServSafe, and other food safety standards; rotate and date food, store perishables safely. 
  • Adaptability: Respond to last-minute changes, guest orders, or unexpected demands.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Experience: Entry-level (6–12 months) to 2–4 years in food service or catering; experience in fine dining or catering kitchens.
  • Certifications: ServSafe Food Handler, ServSafe Manager, or state food handler’s card. 
  • Skills: Strong knife skills, proficiency in multiple cooking techniques (sauté, roast, braise, poach, deep-fry, charbroil), time management, and attention to detail 
  • Physical requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. 


  • Salary range: $22-30 hour depending on experience.
