What does an entry level golf sales rep do?

An Entry Level Golf Sales Rep is responsible for promoting and selling golf-related products, such as equipment, apparel, and accessories, to retailers, golf courses, or directly to consumers. They usually build relationships with clients, demonstrate product features, and answer customer questions to drive sales. Reps may also attend industry events, maintain sales records, and keep up-to-date with the latest golf trends and products. This role is ideal for those passionate about golf and looking to start a career in sales within the sports industry.

To thrive as an Entry Level Golf Sales Rep, you need foundational sales skills, basic golf knowledge, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and point-of-sale (POS) systems is typically required. Excellent communication, active listening, and a customer-focused attitude help you build lasting client relationships and exceed sales targets. These skills are essential for effectively engaging customers, understanding their needs, and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.

Collaboration is common, as you'll work closely with senior sales reps, marketing teams, and sometimes directly with golf pros or retail managers to understand client needs and develop tailored solutions. This role provides a supportive environment where new reps can gain hands-on experience and mentorship, helping you build a strong foundation for a long-term career in sales.
