Job description

Storti Quality specializes in delivering comprehensive utility field operations support, including pipeline inspection, maintenance, construction oversight, and compliance management. Our skilled professionals ensure safety and efficiency at every step, empowering utilities to optimize infrastructure performance and meet regulatory standards. With expertise spanning inspection, field audits, and damage prevention, Storti provides reliable, tailored solutions to address the unique challenges of today's energy landscape. At Storti Quality, we don't just support your operations-we strengthen them, driving results with precision and dedication.
As a Field Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring community safety by conducting gas leak detection, performing field inspections, and compiling accurate reports. This hands-on role combines fieldwork with the use of advanced GIS tools to visualize and analyze data.
If you do not have prior natural gas experience that is ok! Whether you're starting your career or bringing relevant experience from construction, HVAC, or field locating, this position offers training and growth opportunities in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.
Company vehicle provided!
$22-26 per hour based on experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Detecting and Reporting Gas Leaks: Use your hands-on skills to identify, assess, and report gas leaks, contributing to the safety of communities and infrastructure. Training will be provided, but prior experience in construction, HVAC, or field locating will help you hit the ground running.
  • Mastering GIS Tools: Learn to work with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create meaningful visualizations from raw data. Your interest in learning about spatial data and mapping systems will be key.
  • Supporting Clients: Act as a resource for clients, providing support with our advanced FlowGIS and Esri software. A customer-focused mindset will set you up for success.
  • Compiling and Communicating Data: Translate daily progress into clear and concise reports, ensuring all stakeholders understand the results of our work.

Qualities We're Looking For:
  • Hands-On Problem Solver: Practical experience in construction, HVAC, or field locating is a plus, but a willingness to learn and apply new skills is just as important.
  • Tech Enthusiast: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and an eagerness to learn GIS tools like Esri will help you succeed.
  • Detail-Oriented Communicator: You're thorough in your work and can clearly communicate findings in both written and verbal formats.
  • Team-Oriented and Independent: Collaboration is key, but you can also take charge of tasks independently.
  • Ready to Travel: With a valid driver's license, you'll support operations across various locations throughout the United States.

Requirements:
  • Education and Interest: While a Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field is helpful, it's not required. Practical skills and a desire to learn are just as valuable.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in leak surveys, construction, or customer interaction is a bonus but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
  • Mobility: A valid driver's license is required, and a company vehicle will be provided for fieldwork.

**We are pleased to offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and other valuable benefits to support your well-being and future.**
