The Role

We are seeking a Wheat Receiver to join our P&H Milling team. This role will be responsible for all tasks and processes relevant to the daily movement of wheat and cleaning. This is an entry level position into the Mill.

Day to Day
  • Taking wheat samples for verification of quality on all deliveries of wheat.
  • Receive wheat at the mill by truck, rail, vessel or transfer from Grain Elevator
  • Monitor wheat inventory at the plant.
  • Ensure the wheat intake equipment is maintained and in good working condition.
  • Maintain records and documents in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Cover shifts in the mills, as required.
  • Sanitation as per cleaning schedule.
  • Assisting in preventative maintenance in mills
What You’ll Bring:
  • Previous experience in a general labourer position. 
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Physically fit with the ability to safely lift and stack 25 kg bags. 
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and problem-solving skills. 
  • Reliable and dependable with an ability to work shiftwork, overtime and weekends as require. 
  • Able to work in environments subject to dust allergens and higher temperatures as well as in all outside weather conditions
