Operator I Machine - Klauber Machine amp; Gear 1st or 2nd shift!

Full-Time on-site entry level position in Pacific, MO
1st shift M-TH 10 hour shift, occasional overtime on Fridays
$17.68 to $18.19/hour
2nd shift M-TH 4pm - 2:30am, occasional overtime on Fridays
2nd shift receives additional $1/hour shift differential
Increases as 6 and 12 months
Quarterly Productivity Bonus
Sign on and Referral Bonus $500

Job Purpose
This position operates machine shop amp; press equipment to make gear motors amp; components and subassemblies. This position is also responsible to read prints amp; use quality measurement gauges.
General Responsibilities
  • Report to supervisor any material or equipment related issues
  • Perform typical machine shop and press operations to support production
  • Detect and report defective materials to supervisor
  • Maintain a clean amp; organized work area
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
  • Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, molding and all bench operations
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, and report any unsafe situations to supervisor, manager, or human resources
  • Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, amp; ABILITIES

Education
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: 1+ year at Tech School for machine shop operations
Experience
Required: 3+ months experience in manufacturing or factory environment
Preferred: 1+ years experience in manufacturing or factory environment
Special Knowledge amp; Skills
Required: Mechanical ability and desire to operate equipment
Reading and math skills sufficient to operate equipment
Equipment troubleshooting skills
Preferred: Able to read prints, operate different types of gauging and operate manual machine shop equipment
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite and basic office tools and equipment
Must have good management skills, be highly motivated to problem solve, detail oriented, and able to establish priorities. Strong organizational skills, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, customer service focus, technical capacity, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
