Job Summary:
Epic Games is a leading interactive entertainment company known for its award-winning games and engine technology. They are seeking a Senior Tools Programmer to design and integrate AI-powered tools for UI authoring and debugging, collaborating across teams to improve workflows and performance.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, build, and integrate AI-powered tools and frameworks for UI authoring, iteration, and debugging
โ€ข Own and evolve the UI tech codebase used to build tools and in-game UI in Unreal Engine
โ€ข Set technical direction for UI tooling and mentor other engineers
โ€ข Collaborate across disciplines to identify improvement areas, gather feedback, and design solutions for developer needs
โ€ข Profile and resolve performance and memory issues in UI systems
โ€ข Work with Epic's internal teams and Unreal Engine licensees to help them solve UI challenges
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Strong tools-programming background with experience building tools that improve development workflows in games or other fields
โ€ข Deep expertise in the UI domain (UI frameworks, runtime UI engines, and editor/WYSIWYG tooling)
โ€ข Excellent C++ skills and experience working in a large codebase
