Overview
TRC is seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to support our Transmission and Distribution substation operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, safety, and compliance with operational standards.
We are seeking Technicians from entry level to senior. Compensation will vary based on experience.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct testing and routine maintenance of substation relaying (electro-mechanical, solid state, and microprocessor types), control systems, and voltage regulation equipment.
  • Calibrate protective relays and apply relay settings according to standards and operational requirements.
  • Program Load Tap Changing (LTC) and voltage regulator controllers.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on substation relays and control devices within distribution substations.
  • Plan and execute testing activities efficiently, adhering to schedules while ensuring service continuity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures, results, and equipment configurations.

Qualifications
Must-Have
  • 1+ year of commissioning, panel and equipment checkout, relay calibration, testing and repairing substation relaying and control schemes.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply test procedures for various types of substation equipment.

Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in SCADA, Fault Data, Sequence of Events Recorder (SER), and Integration-Automation equipment installation and testing.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
