Engineer Intern Position Summary
The purpose of this job is to provide support to the production team with basic tasks related to efficiency, quality, and process improvement. The roll will include hands-on exposure to different types of manufacturing machinery to understand how equipment is used, maintained, and optimized in daily operations. This position provides practical experience in manufacturing environment and helps build foundational knowledge of workflow, equipment, and safety practices in the Sewing and RF Welding support areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with drawing simple tools designs for RF Welding and prepare accurate layouts or basic technical drawings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Demonstrate success in working in a team-oriented environment, especially as related to concurrent new product development.
  • Provides day-to-day support to production operations and assists with troubleshooting equipment.
  • Suggest process improvements to eliminate waste within production.
  • Track action items, risks, issues and opportunities with assigned projects.
  • Assist with the development, documentation, and optimization of manufacturing processes and SOPs.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering (Junior or Greater Standing)
  • Understanding of manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, create drawings in digital format (AutoCAD).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Process oriented individual.
  • Ability to work with teams; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Statistical data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
