Roseville Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time, remote outpatient role. This position requires a committed professional who will provide essential therapeutic services to various clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting mental health and wellness and will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their challenges while encouraging resilience and personal growth.

About the Organization

At Roseville Counseling Services, we pride ourselves on our commitment to offering comprehensive mental health care. Our facility, located in Hempstead, New York, focuses on outpatient services designed to improve the well-being of our community. Our mission revolves around providing high-quality therapeutic support through evidence-based practices, bringing a holistic approach to mental health treatment. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that values diverse backgrounds and aims to enhance the overall mental health landscape in the region.

Work Environment

The role is structured around a remote work environment, enabling flexibility while still connecting with clients virtually. Our outpatient office setting promotes collaboration and resource sharing among staff. You will be participating in virtual team meetings, group supervision, and training sessions that help enrich your skills and enhance client care. By utilizing modern technological platforms, our therapists can efficiently communicate with clients, manage records, and engage in professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to capture clients' mental health concerns, formulate accurate clinical diagnoses, and personalize comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions that align with the specific needs and objectives of clients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention to clients who are facing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and guiding them through challenging situations.
  • Maintain precise and confidential client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment outcomes, adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nutritionists, to offer holistic and comprehensive care to clients.
  • Engage in client and family education regarding mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources, advocating for clients’ rights and needs as appropriate.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by attending workshops, training, and conferences in the mental health field to stay updated on best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, including adults, adolescents, and families who are facing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. You will strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and are encouraged to pursue personal goals. Understanding the unique aspects of each client is critical to the therapeutic process, ensuring that treatment is tailored to their individual circumstances.

Qualifications
  • A current license in New York State as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is necessary; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience is essential, demonstrating strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport and engaging clients effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also being an integral part of a collaborative team.
  • A strong commitment to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards of practice in the mental health field.
Preferred Experience
  • While previous experience in a clinical outpatient setting is preferred, candidates with valid credentials and a strong passion for mental health can apply for entry-level positions.
  • Experience with specific evidence-based therapy modalities would be beneficial in this role.
Compensation and Benefits

Roseville Counseling Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a rewarding salary, we provide comprehensive benefits, which include health, dental, and vision insurance options, paid time off including holidays, and flexible work schedules. We are committed to supporting our therapists in their professional journey through opportunities for continuing education and professional development.

Career Growth Opportunities

Joining our team opens the door to numerous career advancement opportunities. Roseville Counseling Services values professional growth and offers pathways to leadership roles or specialized areas of practice within the organization.
