Your Responsibilities

We are building fully connected systems to achieve operational excellence - help us transform today's manufacturing by:

  • Developing flexible software solutions that enable IoT capabilities across our manufacturingoperations

  • Recommending best practices for building secure and reliable applications

  • Identifying and defining which cloud-services meet a given technicalrequirement

  • Brainstorming for new ideas and ways to improve development anddelivery

  • Monitoring metrics and developing ways to improve

  • Providing detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, external services and internal resources required

  • Working with source control tools (Confluence, GitHub, etc.)

  • Actively troubleshooting any issues that arise during testing andproduction

  • Work with engagement leaders and program managers during project initiation to understand user stories and successcriteria

  • Independently design, code, document, and unit test new features for applications that run in the cloud.

  • Ensure solutions produced adhere to best-practice object-oriented tenets, software design patterns, architectural patterns, coding standards, test methodology, and build/deploypatterns

  • Contribute to strategy for code management and product development, maintain reusable components that accelerate time-to-value

  • Follow contemporary Product and DevOps best practices, participate in agile ceremonies, work with customer in shortsprints

  • Collaborate with product/project and program manager(s) to present resulting product tostakeholders

  • Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to businesschallenges

  • Works directly with the client user, front end developer, and data scientists to design, test and develop new business analytics applications.

  • Develop and maintain data integrations with internal and external sources.

  • Rapidly fix bugs, solve problems, and proactively strive to improve our products and technologies.

  • Creates and sustains processes, tools, and on-going support structures and processes.

  • Provide effective architecture/design direction to the development team and mentorship to less-experienced team members to increaseeffectiveness

  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Who we are looking for

  • MinimumSixyears of related experience required

  • Bachelor's Degreeinin Computer Science or related field of study

  • Broad technology experience acrossmultipleareas:AWScloud architecture, application development, analytics, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers,etc. in IoT environments, preferably in automotive

  • Experience with multipleobject-orientedprogramming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, C++, Java

  • Experience in relational and non-relational data storage

  • Experience architecting/designing solutions built on AWS cloud

  • Experience with container orchestration, configuration, and life-cycle management

  • Expertise withAPI development (GraphQL, REST) andNode.js,and implementation technologies such as microservices

  • Experience with event driven protocolssuch as MQTT or Kafka

  • Strong background in authentication and authorization protocolsand applications such as Azure Active Directory, and OAuth 2.0.

  • Understanding of React.js and HTML or CSS (front-end development)

  • Proficiency in building scalable data pipelines using Databricks, SQL, and Apache Spark is an asset.

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field of any study.
