Job description

Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep Support)

Location: Signal Mountain, TN 37377

Employment Type: Part-time (20-25 hours/week)

Proposed Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 4 PM-8 PM, and Sunday 1 PM-6 PM.

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: Starting at $23/hour for the first 60 days, with an increase upon successful completion of the introductory period

Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Management & Organization
  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, toys, etc.)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness and ensure home is prepped for cleaning services
  • Assist with seasonal clothing swaps, holiday decorations, and wrapping presents
  • Support packing/unpacking for travel or seasonal transitions
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas
  • Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays-ensure linens are cleaned, soap dispensers are full, and snack baskets are stocked
  • Handle trash and recycling-take out bins and clean them when necessary
Inventory Management & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry containers, fridge, toiletries, household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate and manage household Costco orders
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, gift shopping
  • Handle package pickup, mail sorting, and deliveries
Meal Planning & Preparation
  • Prepare 1-2 healthy, protein-forward meals per week using whole foods
  • Help with meal prep, snack prep, and batch cooking
  • Accommodate dietary needs (gluten-free, dairy-free, protein-rich)
  • Involve kids in cooking and bring creative, fun energy to the kitchen
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and manage kitchen tidiness
Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels); collect towels from sauna
  • Iron, steam, and prepare outfits as needed

  • Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, restock essentials
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
  • Handle special care for delicates or uniforms
Pet Care
  • Feed and care for the dog, keep water bowls clean, assist with bathing, and administer medication as needed
  • Coordinate vet and grooming appointments

Vehicle Management
