Workers are flown to and from the mine site, where accommodation and meals are typically provided. Common entry-level roles include utility worker, kitchen hand, general laborer, or trainee operator. These jobs provide a pathway into the mining sector and often offer competitive pay and training opportunities. Many mining companies also offer resources such as mental health services and organized recreational activities to help workers maintain a healthy work-life balance and adjust to the unique FIFO lifestyle.
