Job description

We are Lockheed Martin
Flight Test Engineer position supporting both FMS (Foreign Military Sales) and USAF F-16 testing at Edwards AFB, CA. Personnel responsible for planning and execution, and reporting of flight test program(s), coordinating test program activities with stakeholders, test site resources, engineering system specialists, and other organizations; ensuring proper configuration of the test article is specified and coordinated, as well as the proper test fixtures, sites, specialized equipment, and personnel availability to support the planned tests; and creating the test cards, conducting the pre- and post-test briefings, and directing and conducting the actual test mission from the control room (TD and TC).
Coordination of all aspects of the mission including: test sheet preparation, running simulations and conducting mission rehearsals, post-mission reporting, maintenance, engineering, safety, test ranges, and test support organizations into a coherent, logical, efficient and executable test activity. Support Aircraft Operating Limitations (AOLs), Flight Clearances, and Modification Planning meetings as required. Maintain detailed specific knowledge of all aspects of mission they are responsible for: Test Procedures, AOLs and Flight Clearance Limitations, Test Execution Package requirements and safety planning, including General Minimizing Considerations and Test Hazard Analyses, Peculiarities and non-standard operation/functions of the individual aircraft tail number. Oversee project execution to cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**
