Fixed Assets/Accounts Receivable




Summary of Responsibilities


This position includes responsibilities for accounts receivable, cash monitoring and reporting, fixed asset accounting, and month-end closing and procedures. This position requires strong analytical skills, solid technology skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and a team mentality.



Essential Functions

  • Maintain Fixed Asset database
  • Record and dispose of fixed assets
  • Record and track construction-in-progress
  • Reconcile the fixed asset system to the general ledger and the storeroom database
  • Prepare monthly journal entries to record depreciation
  • Assist with audit reviews regarding fixed assets
  • Prepare and file personal property tax forms
  • Prepare various month-end journal entries and assist with month-end closing procedures
  • Accounts Receivable and Customer Invoicing
  • Prepare and distribute daily invoices and monthly customer statements.
  • Track, record, and verify payments against customer invoices.
  • Balance accounts receivable monthly.
  • Monitor and report past due accounts receivable and prepare a weekly overdue report.
  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Balance and report cash for all accounts daily
  • Verify and track YC product purchases.
  • Act as Petty Cash Custodian
  • Maintain and distribute cash from Petty Cash.
  • Balance cash box disbursements and prepare journal entries.
  • Perform Accounts Payable backup duties
  • Assist with R&D Tax Credit documentation
  • Verify scanned documents
  • Perform miscellaneous general accounting duties
