Entry Level Starting at $21.00/hr. (base annually $43,680) | Full Time & Part Time Available

24-hour shifts, 0800-0800. Schedule: 24 on / 24 off / 24 on / 24 off / 24 on / 96 off.

Full Time: + built-in overtime (annually est. $26,208) - opportunity to earn up to $69,888 annually!

What You'll Do

  • Respond to fire, medical, and hazardous materials emergencies
  • Perform fire prevention inspections & safety training
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-tech industrial environment

Essential Job Functions

  • Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
  • Follow the Emergency Action and Communication Plans and all Standard Operating Procedures for emergencies
  • Complete incident reports as required
  • Respond to all fire/medical/security/hazmat/threat situations according to the Emergency Response Plan, Standardized Operating Procedures, and Medical Director Protocols
  • Perform routine daily/weekly/monthly inspections on fire alarm, fire suppression, and security equipment, including sprinkler systems, manual and automatic alarm initiating devices, fire panels, and standpipe hoses
  • Perform daily inspections on apparatus, security vehicles, and emergency response equipment
  • Patrol facilities for fire or building code violations and additional safety hazards; report to supervisor
  • Act as a weather spotter and monitor weather alerts through Sky Guard or other notification systems
  • Approve and inspect all hot works and high-hazard hot works, confined space permits
  • Participate in daily training on emergency response to maintain readiness
  • Maintain compliance with personal Fire/Medical/Hazmat certifications as required by local mandate
  • Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a high-pressure environment
  • Other duties as determined by the supervisor

Minimum Qualifications (Entry-Level)

  • Minimum of 18 years of age and a high school diploma or GED
  • Certified Fire 1 and 2
  • EMR or EMT certified
  • Current Driver's License
  • Hazmat Operations
  • Pass an NFPA 1582 physical examination

Requirements

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
  • Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
  • Experience managing multiple tasks and executing radio and telephone communications while performing in a medium to high-pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
  • Possess above-average written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
