CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our Fire Protection Services Team in Birmingham, AL, where you’ll play a key role in developing reliable cost estimates that support highquality fire protection system projects. Step into a role where your expertise in takeoffs, pricing analysis, and cost evaluation helps drive smarter decisions and successful project delivery.


  • Develop detailed cost estimates for fire sprinkler and fire protection system projects
  • Validate pricing, assemble estimate packages, and support the preparation of complete cost deliverables
  • Apply estimating and quantification tools (e.g., OnScreen Takeoff) to produce accurate and efficient results
  • Identify quantity discrepancies and pricing concerns, providing recommendations to senior staff
  • Research material pricing and market trends to strengthen estimate accuracy
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technical teams to align estimates with project scope and requirements
  • Prepare fire sprinkler proposals for presentation to clients

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mehcanical or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent professional experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of fire sprinkler cost estimating or fire sprinkler design using a CAD based program required
  • Working knowledge of construction engineering practices, cost drivers, and project delivery methods
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problemsolving capabilities with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage multiple estimate components with accuracy and limited rework
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools
