Weโ€™re seeking a detailโ€‘driven Fire Sprinkler Designer / CAD Drafter to support our growing Fire Protection division. In this role, youโ€™ll design codeโ€‘compliant fire sprinkler systems, prepare accurate project drawings, and collaborate closely with project managers to ensure every system meets NFPA standards and customer expectations. What Youโ€™ll Do

As a Fire Sprinkler Designer / CAD Drafter, youโ€™ll play a critical role in protecting people and property by creating accurate, compliant, and efficient system designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare project drawings, specifications, and schematics using AutoCAD and related CAD platforms.
  • Design layouts, perform field checks, create fabrication listings, material and equipment submittals, and calculations.
  • Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards and applicable Federal, State, and local codes.
  • Support Fire Protection and Low Voltage projects across multiple job types.
  • Coordinate with project managers to maintain scope, timelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Produce closeโ€‘out documentation and asโ€‘built drawings.
  • Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication.
  • Maintain accuracy, organization, and efficiency across multiple active projects.
  • Perform all work in alignment with State Systemsโ€™ mission of protecting life and property.
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • 1โ€“2 years of Fire Sprinkler / Life Safety design experience (HydraCAD or SprinkCAD a plus).
  • 2+ years of experience using Windowsโ€‘based AutoCAD design software.
  • Strong understanding of commonly used design concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and manage deadlines in a fastโ€‘paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work seated at a desk for a standard eightโ€‘hour workday.
  • Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Compensation & Schedule

Compensation: Based on education, experience, and credentials
