Fire Alarm and Special Hazard Inspector Position A Fire Alarm and Special Hazard Inspector is responsible for performing scheduled or unscheduled inspection and maintenance on fire alarms, and kitchen hoods in commercial spaces. Required Licenses FAL and FEL-K Although not required, it is beneficial for the successful candidate to have the following license: FEL-A This position has a salary range of $27+ per hour depending on experience and held licenses. Job Responsibilities
  • Performance of daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on fire alarms, and kitchen hoods.
  • Service and test all systems.
  • Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports.
  • Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the scheduling and completion of assigned duties.
  • Ability to work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience as a licensed inspector in the fire protection industry.
  • Understand NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and building and fire codes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and written.
  • Valid driver's license; in accordance with company policy required.
  • Able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Regular bending, reaching, climbing, and walking
