ABOUT THIS ROLE

Apex is seeking a skilled and dynamic Solutions Engineer to design and implement cutting-edge technological solutions within the banking, brokerage, and advisory sectors. This role is pivotal in bridging advanced technology capabilities with customers' operational needs, ensuring a seamless customer experience. The chosen candidate will play a strategic role in influencing product roadmaps, advocating for customer requirements, and driving successful solution deployments. As a technical voice for Apex, this individual will provide expertise and leadership in architecting solutions that integrate Apex's products and API service offerings effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Customer Engagement (30%)

  • Design and articulate compelling solutions to customers using Apex's technology and API services.
  • Engage with newly signed clients post-sales and assist with implementation efforts.
  • Provide guidance to existing clients on utilizing Apex's enhanced API functionality to offer new solutions to their client base.

Technical Leadership and Advocacy (25%)

  • Lead detailed architecture discussions, design complex solutions, and ensure infrastructure operations succeed.
  • Act as the technical "voice of the customer" within Apex, documenting and communicating customer requirements to engineering, operational, and product teams.
  • Advocate for enhancements and functionality within Apex's API suite by documenting customer use cases.

Expertise Development and Technology Insights (20%)

  • Acquire deep expertise in the technology driving banking, brokerage, and advisory industries.
  • Build proficiency in technologies developed by Apex and its partners.
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud infrastructure, microservices, and real-time data processing technologies.

Strategic Communication and Roadmap Influence (25%)

  • Represent Apex's technical capabilities to both technical teams and C-suite executives.
  • Present detailed technical concepts confidently in field interactions.
  • Influence Apex's product roadmaps to ensure alignment with customer and industry needs.

Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, engineering, science, or similar undergraduate program
  • 2+ years of related industry experience, preferably in a technical solutions role within financial services, technology, or a related sector.
  • Strong background and proven experience developing, testing, and maintaining REST APIs.
  • Understanding of public cloud infrastructure and microservices architecture.
  • Customer centric with strong ability to understand and grasp customer needs and map it our solution offering
  • Proven experience in at least one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, C#, C++, Go, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior FinTech experience
  • Project management experience
  • Cloud Platform Proficiency: Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly beneficial.
  • Real-Time Data Processing: Familiarity with Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or Google Pub/Sub is advantageous.
  • Monitoring and DevOps: Knowledge of monitoring tools and DevOps practices.

  • Technical Aptitude: Solid technical foundation with the ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and frameworks. Ability to learn languages, tools, frameworks, processes quickly.

Salary Range

$89,091-$111,364
