About the role
We are seeking skilled and adaptable Software Development Engineers to design and implement integrations with our platform. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, product owners, and business teams to understand requirements, design scalable and maintainable solutions, and ensure security by design. Performance is critical to providing a seamless user experience, and we expect you to optimize for efficiency and speed.
The ideal candidate will ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. A strong focus on code test coverage, CI/CD best practices, and production support is essential. Given our decentralized team structure, the ability to work effectively across multiple time zones is required.

  • This is a hybrid position required to work 3 days/week from Luma's Cincinnati, OH or New York City office

Qualifications
  • Either a Bachelors degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience

  • Proven experience working in an Agile framework (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Excellent communication
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, maintainable code
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
  • Strong experience with relational and noSQL databases
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
  • API and Async streaming
  • Experience with production support and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing (AWS preferred)
