Under general supervision, the College of Liberal and Fine Arts Program Specialist performs entry-level specialist duties supporting the College of Liberal and Fine Arts and its departments, programs, and partnerships. This position provides administrative, communications, and program support assistance related to outreach, recruitment, events, and departmental initiatives. Serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA).
This is an in-office position located in Stephenville, Texas, with regular work hours of Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or as work requirements indicate.
This position requires a flexible work schedule, which may include some evening and weekend work depending on scheduled activities and events.
Responsibilities
90% Communications and Outreach Support
  • Assist with the creation and production of written materials for external promotion and outreach.
  • Coordinate updates and edits to college websites, materials, and presentations.
  • Communicate with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to support college initiatives and maintain a positive college image.
  • Assist with digital outreach, website updates, and recruitment-related communications for prospective, admitted, and current students.
  • Coordinate implementation of promotional activities and outreach efforts for the college and its departments.
  • Support promotion of student excellence opportunities through targeted outreach and communication efforts.
  • Assist with the development of promotional materials within budget guidelines and support development initiatives.
  • Assist with virtual and external recruitment events, including event preparation and follow-up activities.
  • Take and edit event photos for promotional use and departmental archives.
  • Coordinate with college departments and the Public Relations department regarding communication and promotional requests.
  • Provide support and guidance to student workers as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • No prior experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely.

Preferred Experience
  • Higher education.
  • Disciplines within the College of Liberal and Fine Arts.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of university organization, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft applications and Microsoft Teams.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Hootsuite or other social media management software.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Canva, Canto, or other digital media management software.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in WordPress or other website management software.
  • Photography and photo editing.
  • Knowledge of AggieBuy and Concur/Emburse.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Salary Range:
The target base annual salary range is $41,000 up to $50,761 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
