Location: 10900 Wayazata Blvd, Minnetonka, MN 55305

Position Title: Software Developer / Engineer

Salary: $125,798 per year

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week

Summary of Duties: Responsible for the successful development, configuration, testing, delivery, and support of Siemens Operator Training Simulator for Spectrum Power 7 Energy Management Systems to global customers. Supporting customers in the usage of Spectrum Power 7 Operator Training Simulator. Review and respond to customer technical requirements. Estimating effort for delivering and enhancing application. Software development of project enhancements to customer requirements. Testing of application in factory and site environments. Configuration and tuning of the Spectrum Power 7 Operator Training Simulator based on customer requirements. Troubleshooting and debugging of Operator Training Simulator issues and problems. Supporting customers with the use of the Spectrum Power 7 Operator Training Simulator. Review and respond to customer technical requirements. Configuration and tuning of the Operator Training Simulator based on customer requirements. Estimating effort for delivering and enhancing application. Software development of project enhancements to customer requirements. Testing of application in factory and site environments. Troubleshooting and debugging of the Operator Training Simulator. 20% Domestic and International Travel. Hybrid work permitted.

Qualifications: The position requires a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering with focus in Electrical Power, or a related field and One (1) year of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Position requires the following: At least 1 year of experience in Software Development, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Code Enhancements in support of both Project Delivery and Product Development projects for Operator Training Simulators for Energy Management Systems involving generation and transmission components of electrical power systems. At least 1 year experience in Software Development, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Code Enhancements in SCADA-EMS alarm processing and data processing solutions, to include device tag handling, power flow, impedance data, unit configuration, and operational alarms for system monitoring and discrepancy notification. At least 1 year experience in Software Development, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Code Enhancements in enhancements to Transmission Network Applications to include state estimation, contingency analysis, power flow, voltage stability analysis. At least 1 year of experience in Development of User Interface enhancements for Transmission Network Applications and EMS Operator Training Systems. At least 1 year of experience in Software Development, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Code Enhancements of Power Flow functionality within an EMS. Experience with C/C++ and Python. Experience with source code control using Git and/or GitHub. Experience with Linux, Windows, and AIX Platforms. Experience with Agile processes and methodologies. Experience with software testing and test automation.
