Role Summary/Purpose:

As a Software Engineer, your rolewill primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well asmodifyingsoftware to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.You will also bedirectlyinvolved inworking with Versatile'sreal timeerror monitoringto helpidentifyand addresssystems integration issues or platform defects as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modifying software to fix errors,adapt itto new requirements, improve its performance, or upgrade its interfaces.

  • Monitoring real-time system errornotifications, researching identified systemslogsto assess impact, andremediation anddeployment offixes.

  • Directing system testing and validation procedures.

  • Directing software programming and documentation development.

  • Consulting with internal groups, partners, and customers on project status and proposals.

  • Working with internal groups on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.

  • Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modificationsofan existing system.

  • Conferring with project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer scienceor equivalent field experience.

  • 2-4years of industry experience.

  • Critical Thinking andProblem-SolvingSkills - Ability to digest complex projects or Customer issues and devise a plan to best complete/solve them.

  • Knowledge of the software developmentlife cycle.

  • Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, andJavascript, and modern frameworks such as Spring framework,VueJs, or React.

  • Experience withserver-sideplatforms such as Java, Kotlin, orJavascript/NodeJS.

  • Experience with relational databases is a plus.

  • Experience with modern version control and CI/CD systems such as GitLab, GitHub, andBitBucket.

Grade/Level: 09

The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
