As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants, and respond to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the mall, common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and tenant spaces as assigned.
  • Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with directing visitors, providing information, and supporting a welcoming retail environment while helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
