Job description

Are you passionate about financial planning and eager to build a career as a trusted advisor? As an Associate Advisor at Savant, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting clients, developing comprehensive financial plans, and learning "The Savant Way" alongside experienced advisors and planning professionals. This entry-level advisory role is designed for individuals pursuing a CFP® designation who want to build the technical expertise, client relationship skills, and business acumen necessary to grow into a successful financial advisor.
 
Working closely with Advisors, Wealth Strategy professionals, and specialists across the firm, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional client experiences while developing the skills needed to progress to an Advisor I position.
 
In this role, you can expect to focus in the following areas:
  • Supporting Lead and Co-Advisors in delivering a best-in-class client experience throughout the financial planning process.
  • Capturing, organizing, and maintaining client financial information, including Ideal Futures Profiles and net worth statements.
  • Assisting with financial planning software, data gathering, analysis, and plan preparation.
  • Participating in client meetings, preparing agendas and materials, documenting notes, and managing follow-up action items.
  • Coordinating planning, tax, and wealth transfer workflows with internal specialists.
  • Conducting planning and tax-related research to support client recommendations.
  • Completing planning projects and simpler client cases independently while developing technical expertise.
  • Building knowledge of portfolio management, trading, rebalancing, and investment reporting.
  • Developing confidence in discussing financial planning and investment concepts with clients.
  • Completing Savant's Advisor Training Program and progressing toward CFP® certification.

  • Hybrid work environment with in-office collaboration expectations determined by business and team needs. Typical working hours
  • Typical Hours: Standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility based on client and team needs.
  • This position is designed as a career development pathway into an Advisor I role.
  • Associate Advisors are required to obtain a Series 65 license within six (6) months of hire, with a goal of obtaining the license within the first three (3) months.
  • Associate Advisors are expected to earn their CFP® designation, or another approved designation, within three (3) years of entering the role.
The Associate Advisor position typically requires the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Recent college graduate or several years of professional experience, preferably within banking, wealth management, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Currently pursuing or committed to obtaining the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation.
  • Ability to obtain a Series 65 license within six (6) months of hire.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and team members.

  • All Financial Advisor applicants must have a clean U4 with no disclosures
  • Employment in this position will require a signed non-compete agreement, except in states where prohibited
