Job description

A coveted Charleston, SC personal injury law firm seeks and accounts manager to handle the Escrow Account, Bill Reductions, Disbursement Sheets as well as work a small case load.

DUTIES:

*Review mail, email, and other communications daily for actionable items, such as checks, invoices, notices, etc. and communicate timely to law firm owner.

*Enter clients’ invoices into accounting software and write checks accurately and timely on an ongoing basis, which includes recurring bills

*Process and record bank deposits into correct entities/accounts

*Create Accounts Payables from Escrow on as needed or on demand

*Handle client bill reductions of health care providers

*Review all disbursements for accuracy

*Download, code, and record monthly credit card transactions accurately and timely

*Prepare monthly bank reconciliations accurately and timely

*Prepare cash receipt and disbursement report under supervision of Law Firm owner, as needed

*Consistently attend team meetings to be informed of client needs.

*Escrow disbursement experience is highly desired

*Prior law firm accounting experience and bookkeeping concepts is highly desired

*Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

*Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

*Client service oriented

*Excellent typing skills for all data entry (productivity and efficiency is a priority for this job)

*Ability to work accurately and quickly under operational deadlines

*Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
