Job Summary
The Graduate Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and academic support to an assigned department within the Sorrell College of Business. Depending on the assigned department, responsibilities may include clerical tasks, data entry, event support, assisting faculty and staff with special projects and routine departmental operations, communication assistance, as well as academic-related duties such as tutoring students, assisting with grading or supporting faculty in instructional and/or research activities.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must be a current Troy University graduate student enrolled in at least six credit hours.
2. Ability to tutor in at least one Sorrell College of Business subject area
3. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
4. Ability to become certified in the Canvas LMS
Please note: Student positions are FICA/Medicare exempt only if students are enrolled in classes in the semester work is performed. To qualify for the FICA/Medicare exemption, you must be enrolled on a half-time basis for the Fall, Spring, or Summer.
