POSITION TITLE: SUBWAY ASSISTANT MANAGERย 

DEPARTMENT: SUBWAYย 

REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGERย 

FLSA: NON- EXEMPT/HOULRYย 

POSITION SUMMARY:ย 

The Assistant Store Manager is an entry-level management position responsible for day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assigning specified work, focusing on restaurant level operation performance, coaching and developing subordinate team members and other non-management associates and performing all other responsibilities as directed by their manager. This position provides an opportunity for entry-level managers to learn important management skills and practice judgment and discretion skills.ย  This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the General Manager.ย 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

  • Completes and posts staff work schedules.ย 

  • Communicates changes of food preparation formulas, standards, etc. to staffย 

  • Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained, and company safety and security policy are followed.ย 

  • Maintains business records as outlined in the Subway Operations Manual:ย ย 

  • Daily Procedures. Analyzes business records to increase sales.ย 

  • Supports local and national marketing initiatives.ย 

  • Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales.ย 

  • Plans special events and promotions.ย 

  • Completes University of Subway courses as directed.ย 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:ย ???????

  • High school diploma or equivalentย 

  • A minimum of two (2) years in a restaurant environment, experience in supervising and training staffย 

  • Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.ย 

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Teams, Excel and Outlookย 

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.ย ย ย 

  • Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register (cashier).

  • Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday.

  • Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.ย
