Job description

Job Summary

Secondary Technician will be responsible for technically maintaining production in a defined area of the facility. This would include troubleshooting and correction of process failures, tooling testing and analysis, and evaluation of new equipment and products.

  • Minimum of one-year hands-on experience in operation of Secondary processes
  • WorkKey Score Requirements:
  • Math Score needs to be a 4 or greater
  • Reading Score needs to be a 4 or greater
  • Locating Information - Score needs to be a 4 or greater
  • Wiesen score of 40 or better from Entry Level
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Hands on
  • Test tooling for Zeus product development
  • Conduct performance tests on new product tooling
  • Ensure satisfactory operation of new equipment; prepare operating and training manuals
  • Assist engineering and manufacturing in setting up and evaluating new equipment and processes
  • Perform equipment evaluation analysis to determine product capability
  • Assemble fixtures to support product development
  • Keep tooling and machines in good working condition
  • Keep work area clean and free of debris
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain good communications within the department
  • Assist with tooling and setups

Additions and subtractions are directly communicated to the Technician seeking competency completion. Must meet the Technician proficiency within 18 months from start date. If training is incomplete within 18 months then the employee may be disqualified from proceeding in the Technician program and will return to manufacturing shop-rate pay.
