☕ Mobile Coffee Cart Team Member (Paid Training Provided)
Company: Sojourner Mobile Coffee
Location: Metro Atlanta, GA (mobile service)
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday | Approximately 5–6 hours per shift
Starting Pay: $14/hour + tips
About the Role
This is an entry-level position with paid training.
No previous coffee experience is required. We believe great customer service, reliability, and a willingness to learn are more important than knowing how to make espresso on day one.
New team members begin by learning our point-of-sale system, welcoming customers, serving drip coffee, and supporting the daily setup and breakdown of our mobile coffee bar. As your skills and confidence grow, you'll have opportunities to learn specialty coffee preparation and take on additional responsibilities.
Our mobile service operates from recurring community locations rather than a traditional storefront. Typical service locations include recurring pop-ups, farmers markets, community gatherings, business partnerships, and other scheduled public locations where we build lasting relationships with our customers.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on-site and assist with unloading, coffee cart setup, and canopy setup.
- Learn and operate our point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Welcome customers, take orders, process transactions, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Prepare and serve drip coffee and other non-espresso menu items as trained.
- Create a welcoming environment by answering basic questions about Sojourner Mobile Coffee, sharing our mission, and introducing customers to specialty coffee in an approachable and engaging way.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and a professional presentation throughout service.
- Restock supplies and support overall daily operations.
- Assist with teardown, cleaning, packing, and reloading equipment at the end of each shift.
- Represent the Sojourner Mobile Coffee brand with professionalism, warmth, and hospitality at every location we serve.
Qualifications
- Previous coffee experience is welcome but not required. We value people who are eager to learn and committed to serving coffee according to Sojourner Mobile Coffee's standards.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle and dependable transportation.
- Must be available to work Wednesday through Saturday.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds during setup and breakdown.
- Strong communication and customer service skills. Comfortable engaging customers in friendly conversation while maintaining efficient service.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn. Curious about specialty coffee and excited to share that knowledge with customers over time.
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Takes initiative and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team.
