Description
Direct and Indirect Management
  • Manage direct reports ensuring they are provided the necessary support and tools to succeed on the assigned task or project.
  • Communicate and work closely with all development groups including Marketing, Product Development, R&D, Package Design and End to End Engineering.
  • Work with the Outline and Artwork Management teams to generate outlines efficiently and process artwork correctly and effectively.
  • Work with BVC and GSM to manage specific project development and provide detail analysis on risk when required.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with the cross functional Value Chain team (Global Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Quality).

Qualifications
Education / Certification
Minimum BS degree in Packaging Science or Engineering.
Direct Experience
  • 7+ years' experience in cosmetic package development.
  • Concentrated experience in prestige beauty industry with proven development experience in color, fragrance, skin care categories and/or Promotional areas
  • Proficiency in computer systems including Unique Package Definition Systems, MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Timeline management systems.

Technical Competency
  • Technical competency in analysis of geometric objects in 2 and 3 dimensions including understanding of clearances, fit and finish of packaging components and subcomponents.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials used in the construction and manufacturing of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging including but not limited to:
  • Injection molding.
  • Extrusion molding.
  • Metal forming.
  • Glass forming.
  • Vacuum forming.
  • Assembly of components.
  • Dispensing systems (Pump, Airless).
  • Folding carton and rigid box design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of decorating techniques and materials used on primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of test methods used to validate component/package performance.

Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $99,400.00 to $163,800.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan. In addition,
