Position Summary:

We are looking for a technically skilled and analytical Junior Production Engineer to support manufacturing design projects for our clients. This role focuses on creating production-ready designs that support efficient manufacturing processes, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement across our operation.

This entry-level engineering role provides an opportunity to develop technical design, manufacturing, and project coordination skills while working closely with experienced team members. The Junior Production Engineer will assist in creating production documentation, supporting manufacturing processes, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Model signage packages from conceptual design through production-ready bills of materials and complete shop drawings.
  • Utilize engineering and problem-solving skills to create manufacturable designs that leverage team expertise, prior experience, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure manufacturability of all products.
  • Assist estimating and design teams by identifying opportunities to improve manufacturability, reducing costs, and increasing production efficiency.
  • Create deliverables that ensure production packages can be built quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality or safety.
  • Assist in evaluating materials, tolerances, and component specifications to ensure compliance with product and process requirements.
  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude when approaching new projects and seek opportunities to reduce installation time and minimize potential errors through design improvements.
  • Support senior engineers and project teams in developing shop drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and production efficiency.
  • Learn and apply company engineering standards, drafting practices, and manufacturing processes.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Process Engineering, or a closely related field preferred.
  • 0-3 years of engineering, drafting, design, manufacturing, internship, co-op, or related experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Foundational understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design concepts.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks preferred.
  • Experience with CAD software and an understanding of basic drafting and drawing principles.
  • Process and team-oriented personality with the desire to embrace change and continuously improve processes.
