This entry-level role is primarily focused on service, maintenance, and technical support for an established customer base, with additional responsibility for maximizing existing accounts. You’ll play a vital role in keeping our customers’ operations running smoothly by maintaining equipment, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring they meet health and safety standards.

After completing comprehensive training, you will take ownership of an established territory and become the go-to resource for customers in the long-term care, restaurant, and hospitality industries.

What You Will Do:

Service and Maintenance:

  • Service dispensing systems to laundry and warewashing equipment, performing routine maintenance and emergency service to ensure customers are meeting local and federal health guidelines.
  • Apply your mechanical aptitude to install, repair, and maintain warewashing, laundry, and dispensing equipment and systems.
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance to ensure customers’ facilities are fully operational and compliant.
  • Demonstrate and train customers on safe and effective equipment to enhance their operations.

Account Growth:

  • Inherit a base of established customer accounts and maintain strong relationships to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Grow sales within your assigned territory by leveraging solution-based selling techniques, promoting additional products, and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to customers, providing tailored recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation programs that meet their needs.

Customer Service and Merchandising:

  • Serve as the face of Cleanslate, providing recommendations on advance cleaning and sanitation programs.
  • Deliver exceptional service by proactively addressing customer needs, providing product demonstrations, and resolving technical issues.
  • Maintain account inventory, track parts usage, and ensure consistent product availability to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong, solution-oriented relationships with your customer base to foster trust and long-term partnerships.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Plan and manage your schedule in a flexible, independent work environment to meet customer demands efficiently.
  • Provide emergency services via phone or in person as needed, including occasional on-call weekend rotations.
  • Work in a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and supports your career growth.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in merchandising, customer service, solution selling, order-taking, and account maintenance.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Availability for on-call rotations, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces when required.
  • Candidates must reside within 30 miles of the designated territory.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 Based on experience
