Job description

The candidate will have the responsibility to manage the integration of the electronics systems in the vehicle and to define the functional requirements starting from the stakeholders (Product, Vehicle Integration, Homologation, HMI, Quality, Plant, After Sales) collection requests. System Engineer shall also guarantee the harmonization of the features among all the Regions and collaborate with the component specialists to guarantee the correct functional allocations taking care of the components constraints. Main responsibilities will include:
  • Collect the stakeholders requirements for each feature of competence
  • Define the system high level requirements from the concept phase.
  • Create and maintain the System Level Models for Vehicle electrical features, using IBM-Rational Rhapsody
  • Release, maintain and update the vehicle functions documents for high level requirements.
  • Create and maintain the system technical specifications.
  • Guarantee the traceability between stakeholders requirements and functional component requirements
  • Define the correct functional allocation between multiple ECU's on the vehicle bus considering E/E Architecture design.
  • Release and maintain the System DFMEA
  • Define the feature description in the Use/Owner's manuals.
  • Support the validation team to define the test cases and to discuss the open points with the suppliers.
  • Benchmarking analysis on new solutions for value optimization and quality improvement

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 year of experience in the area of automotive electrical architecture or electrical systems
  • Good understanding and knowledge of automotive Electrical/Electronics systems
  • Basic knowledge of Sys ML and Model Based Design (preferred using IBM Rational Rhapsody)
  • Basic knowledge of DOORS® and other Requirement Management system
  • Basic experience in problem solving capability of Electrical/Electronics systems
  • Good engineering knowledge about DFMEA
  • Ability to work in team and organize complex tasks
  • Ability to support/consult work teams
  • Focus on technical details
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Sys ML and Model Based Design experience
  • Ethernet communication experience
  • Vehicle diagnostics experience
