Aerospace Mechanical Technician

We are hiring an Entry-Level Aerospace Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aerospace systems and components. This role is ideal for candidates with experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or aerospace environment and offers the opportunity to work with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems while supporting aerospace vehicle operations and production.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of aerospace systems and components to support repairs, modifications, and engineering changes.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify faults and assist with corrective repairs.
  • Support validation and verification testing of aerospace systems, assemblies, and components.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and modify aerospace products in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Assist with safe aerospace vehicle handling activities, including jacking, towing, and system operations.
  • Follow established manufacturing processes, safety procedures, and quality standards while working under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Utilize basic computer applications to document work and support production activities.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using hand tools, power tools, or mechanical tools while following written work instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to safely work with beryllium and other regulated chemicals while following applicable safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience inspecting aerospace parts, components, assemblies, or mechanical units.
  • Minimum of 1 year of soldering and electronic or mechanical component assembly experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using handheld tools and power tools in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience performing precision work under a microscope.
  • Previous aerospace, aviation, defense, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
