Job description

Power-Flo Technologies has the capabilities of an electrical products distributor, manufacturer, and service organization all rolled into one. We are looking for you to join our collaborative team as an Entry Level Panel Technician at our Auburn location.


Entry Level Panel Technician Primary Function :

The Entry Level Panel Technician will be trained to build custom control panels.


In this position you will work with experienced technicians to learn:

  • Basic electrical theory
  • To read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
  • Mechanically layout and mount hardware components
  • Wire complete panel in accordance with PFT panel procedures, UL508A specifications, and other best practices as given by the panel shop supervisor
  • The use of hand tools, i.e. jigsaw, drills, wrenches, screwdrivers
  • The use of electrical test equipment, i.e. Multi meter
  • Torque check and marking in accordance with PFT procedures
  • Test Custom Industrial Control Panels and OEM Products
  • Point to Point wire tests in accordance with PFT testing procedures


Along with acquiring technical knowledge, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Accounting for parts required for the job
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly work area at all times
  • Organizing and maintaining shop tools and equipment
  • Organizing and maintaining personal tools
  • Organizing and maintaining your project items and materials
  • Help maintain common shop supplies IE Labels, wire ties, wire, etc.


Entry Level Panel Technician Qualifications :

  • Previous experience, training, or schooling in electrical work
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools and other power tools
  • Willingness to learn
  • Current, valid, and clean NYS driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 Hours
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work on elevated platforms
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching
  • You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions
  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery


Full-time, Monday - Friday, on-site.

Candidates need a clean and valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.

$16 - $18/hour
