Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services, supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and 24/7 emergency service for our clients.


We are seeking a Shop Laborer to support the daily operations of our warehouse yard and fleet maintenance shop. This hands-on, entry-level position plays an important role in keeping our shop organized, clean, and operating efficiently. Responsibilities include maintaining the shop and yard, assisting mechanics, transporting vehicles, running errands for parts and supplies, and supporting general shop operations.


Schedule

  • Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized mechanic shop, warehouse yard, and surrounding work areas
  • Sweep shop floors, clean work bays, and perform general property maintenance
  • Organize tools, equipment, materials, and inventory
  • Assist mechanics with basic shop tasks and equipment preparation
  • Pick up and deliver automotive parts, materials, and supplies from local vendors
  • Transport company vehicles, trailers, or equipment between company facilities, vendors, and job sites as directed
  • Dispose of used tires, scrap metal, fluids, and other shop waste in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations
  • Wash company vehicles and equipment as needed
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials, equipment, and deliveries
  • Work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, and supervisors
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop and warehouse operations


Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with an interest in automotive or construction equipment maintenance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
