Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Assistant Electrical Estimator to join our growing electrical contracting company. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in the electrical construction industry. You will work alongside experienced estimators, assisting with project bids, reviewing construction plans, performing material takeoffs, and preparing cost estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Perform material quantity takeoffs.
  • Request and compare supplier pricing.
  • Prepare and organize bid packages and estimating documents.
  • Maintain accurate project files and records.
  • Communicate with vendors, project managers, and customers.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the estimating department.
  • Meet bid deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
