Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The Role:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be an essential member of our Maintenance, Technology, or Reliability Teams, driving technical solutions and innovations. Your duties will include:
  • Technical Support - provide day-to-day technical service, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Project Management - Lead small design projects for the repair and replacement of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Design Initiatives - Create comprehensive electrical and instrumentation design packages.
  • Safety and Compliance - Participate in safety studies and drive the Management of Chance (MOC) process.
  • Team Collaboration - Work closely with operations, maintenance, technology, reliability, and construction teams.

Skills & Knowledge Required
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university by December 2026 or May 2027.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA out of 4.0.
  • Plant Experience through cooperative education or summer internships.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical equipment, including motor controls, electrical systems, load flow, arc flash and other system studies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot motor controls up to 4160 volts.
  • Experience in sizing conduits, cables for motors, MCCs, feeders, etc.
  • Prior work with outside vendors on coordination and electrical system studies
  • Knowledge of instrumentation design (temperature, pressure, flow, control valves) from field to DCS systems
  • Experience with Triconex PLCs is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation loops from field to DCS systems.
  • Proficiency in the design and programming of control and interlock systems.
  • Skills is sizing and selecting instruments and control valves.
