Job description

About the Role

We are building an AI system that learns to operate real-world software the way a skilled human does. To accomplish this, we need experienced SKM Power*Tools (PTW) users who can demonstrate, document, and evaluate realistic electrical power system analysis workflows. SKM PowerTools is a leading electrical engineering software suite used for power system modeling, load flow analysis, short-circuit studies, protective device coordination, arc flash analysis, motor starting studies, and electrical system design. As an SKM PowerTools Software Application Expert, you will help train AI models by performing real-world engineering tasks, documenting workflows, and evaluating AI-generated actions and outputs for accuracy and realism.

What You'll Do

  • Perform, record, and clearly document end-to-end workflows using SKM Power*Tools.
  • Break down complex electrical engineering studies into detailed, step-by-step actions, including data entry, one-line diagram creation, modeling, analysis, and reporting.
  • Create realistic project scenarios that reflect how electrical engineers use SKM in commercial, industrial, utility, and data center environments.
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated workflows, calculations, and recommendations for correctness, efficiency, and engineering accuracy.
  • Provide structured feedback and quality annotations to improve model performance.
  • Identify workflow edge cases, modeling challenges, and common user mistakes.
  • Demonstrate best practices for electrical system analysis, compliance, and documentation.
  • Validate study outputs and engineering assumptions using industry standards and project requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience using SKM Power*Tools (PTW) in a professional engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical power systems and distribution networks.
  • Ability to complete complex, real-world engineering tasks independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to create clear, reproducible documentation.
  • Experience working in Windows-based engineering software environments.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high-quality standards.

Work Environment

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Work Setting: Remote
  • Work Hours: flexible hours must be M-F though
