Electrical Engineering Technician, Robot Services
San Carlos, CA (on-site)
About 1X
We build humanoid robots that work alongside people to solve labor shortages and create abundance.
The RoleAs an Electrical Engineering Technician on the Robot Service team, you will support diagnostics and electrical engineering tasks to maintain and improve our humanoid robots. You'll work closely with hardware and diagnostics teams, performing PCB re-work, assembly, and part testing. This is a hands-on, in-person role with opportunities to grow into electrical engineering positions.
You Will
  • Re-work and assemble custom PCBs
  • Perform fine-pitch soldering and functional testing
  • Conduct wire harness re-work and assembly
  • Create documentation on rework and assembly processes
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to communicate issues and improvements

Must Have
  • Hands-on experience in electrical engineering or electronics repair
  • Experience with fine-pitch hand soldering and hand crimping
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks such as setup, assembly, and post-processing
  • Ability to work on-site in Palo Alto
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
