Job Summary: Our Irvine office is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join us as we continue with our strong growth. In this exciting role you will be working with a strong team to design electrical systems for buildings, including power, lighting, fire alarm and special systems for a variety of market sectors, such as K-12 Education, Higher Education, Commercial, retail/mixed-use spaces, municipal, critical and institutional Facilities.
We are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to contribute to our dynamic team and work on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Design projects from conceptual design to completion with minimal oversite
  • Visit project sites (local and across the U.S.) to gather information on existing conditions and review new work.
  • Perform electrical design including service entrance sizing and coordination, distribution, motor and equipment feeders, UPS systems, DC power systems and standby generators.
  • Perform security and fire alarm system design.
  • Perform power studies utilizing SKM Power Tools and Easypower.
  • Perform electrical commissioning.
  • Work independently on smaller projects with limited direction.
  • Work with other electrical engineers, electrical designers and BIM specialists / CAD technicians for complex design and construction drawings.
  • Collaborate with teammates from other design disciplines to deliver a well-coordinated project.
  • Develop marketing, proposal-writing, and project management skills.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or master's degree in an Engineering field.
  • Experience: This is an entry-level opportunity designed for candidates beginning their engineering careers; formal years of experience are not required.
  • EIT preferred but not required
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using engineering tools and software to:
    • Develop project schedules and track progress against milestones and deadlines.
    • Develop project budges and track status.
    • Manage project meeting notes and follow-up lists.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
