Journeyman Maintenance Technician
We are AUTOKINITON (pronounced auto-ken-i-TAHN)

This full-time role is a part of our Elkton team and reports to the Trades Supervisors.
Shift and Pay:
Hourly rate is $34.86
2nd shift - 3pm - 11pm - $0.60/hr shift premium
3rd shift - 11pm - 7am - $0.75/hr shift premium
Job Summary:
  • Diagnose malfunctioning machines such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables

  • Diagnose and replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices

  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other personnel from other affected departments including production, maintenance, and tool room to diagnose malfunction

  • Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas

  • Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems

  • Removes and replaces worn or broken parts

Required experience:
  • Working on large metal stamping presses

  • Working with robotic welding machines (Fanuc)

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment working with steel, iron, aluminum, and other various metals

  • Maintenance Tech Journeyman card or 8 years of verifiable experience

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
