Job description

This is an entry-level / general labor role with room for long-term career growth.
Skilled employees will support the mill operations and be trained to operate industrial processing equipment safely. Employees will work under minimal supervision in environments where the primary objective is safe production.

Key Responsibilities:

· Area housekeeping to include tasks such as shoveling, using fire hose, and digging

· Operation of processing equipment

· Assisting with maintenance activities

· Operation of mobile equipment

· Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Three (3) months experience in one of the following areas:
    • Mining/Manufacturing
    • Industrial Operations
    • Commercial Construction
    • Commercial Agriculture
    • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

Criteria/Conditions:

  • This is a Safety sensitive role.
  • Work may be performed in a mine setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electric shock, toxic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles.
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, see, and work in confined spaces.
  • Occasionally may be asked required to life moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
  • Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and other protective equipment as required.
  • Required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.
