FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS (FP&A) ANALYST

Who We Are

Ruppert Landscape is a leading provider of commercial landscape maintenance and installation services with more than 3,500 employees serving customers from 57+ branches across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeastern US. We take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality services on a wide range of commercial properties and construction projects. For over 50 years, our mission has been to provide opportunities for our people, take care of our customers, and be good stewards of the environment and our community.

Where You Fit In

As a Financial Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the Company's financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities. This is an associate-level FP&A position designed for an early-career finance professional who is eager to develop their analytical skills and gain exposure to both financial and operational performance.

You will support weekly, monthly, and annual reporting, contribute to the Company's annual budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide routing and ad-hoc analysis to help business leaders understand financial performance and make informed and timely decisions. The Financial Analyst will also have the opportunity to help enhance our reporting capabilities through data visualization and business intelligence tools.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work closely with finance and operational leaders while developing a strong foundation in FP&A within a growing, multi-location organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation and distribution of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting and management summaries.
  • Assist with the Company's annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including gathering and consolidating inputs from branches, regions, and corporate departments.
  • Analyze actual results compared to budget, forecast, and prior-year performance; identify key variances and trends and assist with explaining drivers.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial and operational analyses for Finance and business leadership to identify trends, risks, opportunities and support business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs, reporting dashboards and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
  • Help drive process efficiencies through AI, automation tools, and other technology solutions.
  • Improve reporting processes through standardization, automation, and enhanced data visualization.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of FP&A reporting and analysis.
  • Perform other financial analysis and special projects as assigned.

Reporting Relationship: This position will report to the Director of FP&A

Schedule: This is an in-office role.

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 annually. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

Background Check: Ability to successfully complete a formal background check is a condition of employment.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with financial and operational data and identify meaningful trends and insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or a similar business intelligence and data visualization platform strongly preferred. Experience creating dashboards, developing reports, and translating data into actionable insights is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and working with large data sets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial information and analysis to both Finance and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet recurring reporting deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with team members at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong team orientation, balanced with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Experience in a multi-location, decentralized, or service-based organization preferred.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, initiative, and work ethic.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
  • Hands-on learning from day one with ongoing opportunities to learn, grow, and build your career.
  • Paid time off and holidays to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, plus flexible spending accounts (FSAs) to help cover healthcare and dependent care expenses.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with confidential support for personal, financial, and wellness needs.
